Fun at the finale!






Everyone had a great time at the Teen Summer Reading Finale...the final numbers are, 17 kids read their three books and got prizes from McDonalds and Beach Treasures coffe. 40 local teens signed up and read over 75 books. The people that attended the finale got great prizes in the drawings from local businesses, and Evan Whipple walked away with the Harry Potter set. We played water balloon dodgeball and the competition was fierce! Here are some photos for your enjoyment:

TSRP FINALE!

Friday, August 25th at 3 pm is the Finale of the TSRP (Teen Summer Reading Program). We will hand out awards and prizes to those who read their three books. If you haven't turned in your reading forms yet, you have until 5 pm on Thursday the 24th to turn them in. Everyone will have fun playing Water Balloon Dodgeball! See you there.

Teen Summer Reading Update

I wanted to remind everyone that has signed up for 'Creature Feature' the deadline for reading your three books is August 24th. So far, nine people have read the required three books and got a bracelet or dogtag necklace. Remember, there are lots of awesome prizes you could win so...start reading! Make a Monster Winners


The winners of the "Make a Monster" contest were Zach Brady, Navarre Kerr, and Skyler Whipple. The prizes included a coupon for a free 6 inch sub courtesy of Subway, a coupon for a game of bowling from Shores Bowl and candy. The winners made a very scary monster using most of the materials available. The judges were Dave Weiser, City Manager; Gene Swygard, Friends of the Library Treasurer; and Betty Smith of the Library Board of Trustees. We thank the judges for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the contest. We also thank the Ocean Shores Friends of the Library and the Teen Advisory Board who sponsor the Teen Summer Reading Program.
